About the Journal

The JIB Review is an A-Class academic journal for disciplinary area 11/A4 Literary, Linguistic and Philological Disciplines / Book and Document Sciences. The Journal is produced by the International Centre on Interactive Books in the Fondazione Tancredi di Barolo.  The Centre’s aim is to activate systematically, in both Italy and in connection with similar international institutions, studies, research, and conservative activities to safeguard and increase the appreciation of the cultural heritage of movable books of historical, artistic, scientific and didactic value with attention to the most recent and significant experiences in multimedia and art books.

This fifth issue opens by sharing an important milestone – the inauguration of the Pop-App Museum – and proves particularly rich in papers. It presents eight articles spanning diverse disciplinary fields and covering a broad chronological range, from the origins of movable books to the present day. In addition, it offers a multifaceted selection of Reports & Reviews and launches a new section, L’angolo del Collezionista/The Collector’s Corner.
